been sleeping

oops!!! I haven't written for awhile. Must have been asleep. lol
My daughter and son came home to visit from Reno and then we drove my daughter back to Reno last Sunday. She is still looking for a teaching job and is interviewing. We are keeping our fingers crossed she will pick up a job for this fall. Sadly my son and his wife are having difficulties and it looks like things are not going to work out. My job is going well, how is Dale doing at the store? The first golf trip is scrapped, ask him to show it to you. His photography class is almost over and he is putting his porfolio together, I'll see if he will let me post some of his pictures.

I think that catches you up on our happenings. The next blog will catch you up on the store.

Classes

Saturdays Class is memory mist canvas wall hanging. It is on display at the store. Sorry I don't have a picture to show you but this is a great little project. Teens and Childrens classes are open scrapbooking on the 30th and July 1st. The class is free but please sign up if ;you plan on coming.

Then it's 4th of July weekend and I will be closed on Friday to observe the holiday. Enjoy the celebration and be safe. We don't have any special plans but I always enjoy the firework displays.

On July 7 and 8th is the backpack album for teens and children and the Travel Ablum on the 8th for teens/adults.

Have you noticed that Dale is scrapbooking? Since he is working more at the store and he has old pictures in those photo destroying albums, he is working to scrapbook the golf trips. Feel free to give him a helping hand. You might also have noticed him working with his camera and lap top. He is enrolled in a digital photography class. I think that is so exciting. I can't wait to learn how to manipulate photos on the pc and take better photos.

upcoming classes

I had my first kid's/mommy and me class today. The projects turned out great. It is always exciting to see what everyone does to make the project their own.

we're back!

We just got back from our family campout. We had a great time and great weather. The only thing is ... I don't believe we have pictures. Who would have guessed! lol The camera was out and the pictures were taken but the concentration of pictures were of the bugs and scenery as Dale practiced shots for his photography class. We will be back to work at the store tomorrow.

Closed for Father's Day

Just a reminder that this week we are off to our annual family campout. Therefore the store will be closed Friday through Sunday (6/13-6/15) and reopen again on Monday.

Sizzlin Summer Paper Chase is continuing to get organized and the passports and totes should be in the store in July. I am looking into renting a 12-16 passenger van to tour 1/2 the stores on two days. Looks like the cost will be around $50 for the day probably a 10-12 hour day. Please let me know if you might be interested in participating in the trip. More details will follow if there is interest.

Be sure to stop by the store and check out the upcoming class samples or check back here to see the projects.

Stay safe.

I'm so excited!!! I had my first registration for the Sizzlin Summer Paper
chase and tote. I have my 8 x 8 page sample on display at the store and in July I should be receiving the other participating stores sample pages. If you are out of the area and wish to register through the Dapper Scrapper, I would be happy to ship the passport and tote to you. I will add shipping and handling to the total, yet to be determined.

I am very excited as new product is filling the shelves and paper slots. Be sure to stop and look at the new layouts featuring the new papers from Cosmo Cricket and Sass-A-Fras.

Life is an ever changing enity and one must learn to change with its demands. I don't know if you have noticed that my husband Dale is working a few more days at the store. It has become necessary for me to return to my prior profession full time. I am hoping that this will only last a short time but will just have to see what life has in store for me. I will keep you informed as new changes occur. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

blogging

I attended a show in Sacramento and the talk and recommendation was to have a blog. So here is my first entry and stay tuned for more. The show was great with instruction on new products. Keep your eyes peeled for the new product arriving mid May. I'll be sure to blog when the new product arrives. I have scrapbooked with some of Cosmo Crickets new papers and just love them. Coming are acrylic mini books and products from Sass a frass.
